Actually, I've encountered this before at CVS. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's a "wash" item. If you have 2 consecutive weeks where an item is "on sale" at a special discount or offering ECBs, the current discount will trump the following week's discounts, even though the prices on other advertised items will roll over on Saturday. I suspected this yesterday before I ever checked out, so I price checked *before* I made my Revlon purchase. The price all last week was "Buy 1, Get 1 at 50% off." If the price last week had just been the normal, everyday price and there had been no promotion to speak of, then the ECBs would have gone into effect on Saturday like all the others. But 2 overlapping weeks with special prices/deals always default in favor of the current ad. Make sense? If the Revlon had not been on sale last week for B1G1 50%, the ECBs would have kicked in on Saturday. I've seen it happen with other items and you'll see folks confirming this on places like Slickdeals and Hot Coupon World.

That's funny. I got my ECB's for the Band-aids, but I didn't get them for the Revlon deal. At both stores I got a gift certificate (attached to my card accounts).

did a CVS run to get FREE Schick Intuition razors using coupon from 6/29. I had 9 coupons and used a $10 off a $50 purchase and did really well.

Addes a Loreal product to get the ECBs back with a $2 off coupon, NO ECBs printed, but the manager gave me the money for the ECBs. :)

I have never heard of that policy and have not had that issue before.
